Slacker and a half
So I feel like a real blogging slacker. How is it I can check my face book several times a day, yet writing one tiny blog takes me weeks!! So new goal, as I need something to thoroughly distract me from extenuating circumstance, I am going to write a new blog at least once a week. So lets see, most interesting thing today... My sister and I spent hours finding all the necessities for the perfect costume. Her and Brett are being Kanye West and a gold digger. Our adventure started out at the local Old Navy to find this gold dress, well long story short, it was an extra large, and if you know my sister, she is no extra large. We bought it as a last resort but I had a feeling we could do better. Next stop, Ross. Ross had an incredible selection of extremely tacky gold dresses, as well as a slinky little red number we eyed. After a few good laughs in the dressing room (due to a little gold dress made for a 7 year old) we found one. Next stop home, where we find Brett still not ready for his Halloween party. Several costume ideas were tossed about until we fell on the safe bet of pro-skier. A yummy grilled cheese and just a little Ugly Betty and we were off, yet again to Ross. This time for some stezzy sneakers in bright colors. Holy cow!!! Do you realize that sneakers are ridiculously expensive! So we traveled two stores down to Michael's for some paint for old sneakers, some very gorgeous Christmas ornaments, and dollar finds! You have to love those. You would think we were done right, nope! The dollar store was in our near future. They let me down which never happens so that was a bust, no jewelry which I thought would be there for sure. Ok last stop right, I don't think so!! Wal-mart was our last chance for some cheap gold bracelets. Sydnie waited to long and all the sick bracelets were taken, but we found some that made do. Home finally! NOPE!!! We had one last stop, Old Navy to return the to large dress. We made it home eventually and had a pretty darn good time doing it all. So Syd, this is an ode to you and always making things just a little to hard!
