I guess I got what was coming to me!

So wed. night was definitely a blast! We had so much fun going to the laser tag place which was a little, um in need of some updates lol! So anyways, I'm getting ahead of myself. The evening started out with a much needed visit to my sister and brother-in-law (uninvited I might add but they know they were so happy to see us)! So we decided that a few rounds of Mario Kart on the WII were in order, its not as easy as most would think. After I finally got in one win, we had to head out to the meeting place, a.k.a. The coburn-smith residence. Since it was Bollwinkel time, everyone was 15 minutes late but we got on our way. As we reached our destination of play, we made it in just enough time to squeeze in one game. I'm no laser tagger, but I didn't get last! We ganged up on everyone else which I must admit is not fair due to the weirdly large amount of cousins I have. Anyways, so we were off and it was decided Sydnie and Brett needed one more visit, so away we went and so stealthily snuck up to the door. They opened the door saying that they could hear us in the parking lot and the surprise was ruined. We stayed and raided the fridge then left. Well it took me like 10 flights of stairs to leave due to the fact that I can't keep track of my belongings and had to go back up for what was left behind, a much needed work out. The night was still young and there was much fun to be had so off we went to play rock band, no clubbing for us thanks to my sick cough that was sure to repel all within a 50 foot radius. As the family band began, just like the Osmonds, without matching pants, hunger pains fell upon the room! Katie, Justin, and Brenon to the rescue! After taking down a full page order for seven people we headed to Wendys, even though they somehow always manage to screw things up. I drove up with the warning that this was a giant order and that they needed o be ready! Ok it went something like this....

2 Small vanilla frostys

1 Medium vanilla frosty

2 Small chocolate frostys

1 Baby sized chocolate frosty

3 Chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce

1 99 cent crispy chicken sandwich

2 Jr. bacon cheese burgers

1 Jr. cheese burger

2 Small fries

1 Large fry

1 Large Dr. Pepper

1 Small Dr. Pepper

1 Small Root Beer

A mouthful, I know, the total was astronomical for wendys and after checking the bags, we thought we had everything! We made it home with all but the medium vanilla frosty :( !!!! Oh well, Dillan lived! So we stayed and played, learning that Dane is tone deaf, Katie must have no sense of timing, and we are all together a pathetic bunch! We left at about 12:00 and the night was complete! I would blog about Thanksgiving but this blog is already so long you must be bored with me! Oh and about the title I am still sick, going on the twelfth day, I guess I should sleep and rest instead of party hard!

Color me mine

So basically I feel really good that I have two exciting things to blog about in one day!! After taking a much needed nap, and feeling good about that decision, Rachel and I decided it was time to start getting ready for Christmas. My mother is one tough cookie to shop for, so whats the easy thing to do? Make her something crafty that she has to love due to the fact that I am her beautiful, talented daughter, and she does not want to stunt my creative developmental growth. Anyways, if you have never been to color me mine, you must take the time to do so. The experience was truly therapeutic and relaxing! You start by picking out your piece of pottery, then let your imagination run wild. Now I can't tell you what I made, just in case my mother figures out how to check my blog, but I can tell you that some one should hire me to be the next Picasso or something! Just kidding, but it really wasn't half bad. Even though I used the wrong color at first, oh well, just being creative I guess!

Oh to be three and little again!

Today marked the first day of my new job teaching dance, and all I can say is man do those girls have it easy! To be able to parade around all day in pink tights, leotards, and pretty shoes! I felt like a princess and I really didn't do that much. Ballet should be a must in every little girls future. Basically it went really, really well, and I already have two little shadows who love me very much. Anyways, I have decided that now whenever I want to feel like a princess, I will put on my new ballet shoes and do a few tendus and plies and all my troubles will disappear. I think this will be my new motto for the year.

What did I get myself into!!

So I used to take a small amount of dance with my theater classes, making me no expert, yet some what knowledgeable in the subject. Anyways, my teacher at school told me about a job at her daughters dance studio teaching 2-3 year old's dance. I was thinking perfect! I will teach them a few little things and just let them play around and get paid 9 dollars an hour! What a good gig! Well after accepting the job offer, I find out her studio is only ballet, which I know nothing about!!! So, I spent an hour on google, followed by 30 ridiculous minutes of attempting "practice" in the mirror, and have decided the only thing I can say is son of a, well you know how it ends! Anyways, I think I will see how much I can fake and then accept the loss that I am never going to be a prima-ballerina!
